Xinyu Liao 

Welcome to my personal website. 

I'm currently working at BIGAI(Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence) as a full-time machine learning researcher and my interests focus on diffusion models.

In 2021-2022, I was working with Professor Paris Perdikaris as a Postdoctoral Researcher where I was focusing on stochastic differential equations and deep learning.

I was a graduate student at Graduate Group in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science of University of Pennsylvania, advised by Professor Prashant K. Purohit during 2018-2021. I am also affiliated with Penn Institute for Computational Science and earned the Certificate of Advanced Scientific Computing. My research focused on building analytical stochastic process models and numerical algorithms to study problems from statistical mechanics, biophysics and Internet of things.

Prior to working with Prof. Purohit, I was working with Professor ‪Pedro Ponte Castañeda‬ during 2017-2018 when I was building non-convex optimization algorithms and applied them into continuum mechanics and homogenization theory of composite materials. 

Before coming to Penn, I received my BS in Mathematics from University of Science and Techonology Beijing with a lot of honors and awards including "Outstanding Undergraduates of Beijing" as well as many scholarships.
